The Chief Executive Officer of Akwaaba UK, Dennis Tawiah, has disclosed that one of his biggest professional regrets was not securing a larger venue for a headline concert by Ghanaian highlife star Bisa Kdei in the United Kingdom.

Speaking in a recent interview on Konnected Minds, Mr. Tawiah said the demand for the award-winning musician’s show exceeded his expectations. He noted that ticket sales for the event were faster than any he had experienced in his career as an international promoter

According to him, the turnout and pace of sales suggested that Bisa Kdei could have filled the venue for two consecutive nights. However, the show was scheduled for only one night — a decision Tawiah now describes as a missed opportunity

Mr. Tawiah, who has promoted major Ghanaian artistes including Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Daddy Lumba, said the overwhelming response to Bisa Kdei’s concert stood out even among high-profile events he has organized

Bisa Kdei, known for hit songs such as “Mansa,” “Asew,” “Brother Brother,” and “Mon Bébé,” remains one of Africa’s leading highlife musicians. His music continues to resonate with audiences beyond Ghana, sustaining a loyal international fan base

The singer is currently promoting his French single “Mon Bébé,” which has gained traction across streaming platforms and received positive reception among Francophone listeners
