Nigerian musicians Adekunle Gold and Simi are expecting their second child, with the announcement revealed through a newly released music video.

The couple shared the news in Adekunle Gold’s latest video, My Love Is The Same, which was released on Wednesday. The video features Simi visibly pregnant, appearing alongside Adekunle Gold and their daughter, Deja, in a series of intimate family scenes.

Following the release, the video quickly gained attention on social media, with fans reacting to Simi’s appearance and praising Adekunle Gold’s artistic direction and evolving musical journey.

Simi amplified the announcement by sharing the video link on her X (formerly Twitter) account, quoting a line from the song in Yoruba alongside the post. Adekunle Gold also promoted the release across his social media platforms, describing the track as a reflection on love, gratitude, and family.

“My Love Is The Same” is part of Adekunle Gold’s October 2025 album, Fuji.

The couple, who welcomed their first child in 2020, have largely kept their family life private while occasionally sharing personal milestones through their creative work.
