Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has said he has moved on following his separation from his former wife, Annie Idibia.

The singer made the remarks during a recent interview with media personality Seun Okinbaloye, where he stated that he is now focused on his personal life and music career.

“I have moved on from my ex-wife, Annie Idibia. I am doing my own thing and moving forward,” 2Baba said during the interview.

2Baba and Annie Idibia began their relationship in the early 2000s and later became one of Nigeria’s most high-profile celebrity couples. They welcomed their first daughter, Isabella, in 2008, got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2012, and married later that year. Their white wedding ceremony was held in Dubai in 2013. The couple had their second daughter, Olivia, in 2014.

In January 2025, 2Baba announced via social media that he and Annie Idibia had been separated for some time and had filed for divorce, a development that surprised many fans. Following the announcement, Annie reportedly withdrew from social media and deleted several posts.

Months after the separation became public, videos and photos surfaced online showing 2Baba at a traditional wedding ceremony with Hon. Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly. The ceremony generated mixed reactions on social media, with discussions focusing on its timing shortly after his separation from Annie Idibia.
