Janusz Walus, the man who killed Chris Hani, will be deported to Poland today after completing his parole.

The South African government recently shared an update on Walus’s parole status.



Walus was released from prison two years ago after serving nearly 30 years behind bars. Since his release, the 71-year-old has been living under community corrections for the past two years.


His release was met with heavy criticism, especially from Chris Hani’s widow, Limpho Hani.
