Cameroonian military forces ambushed and killed at least three Boko Haram members Wednesday night in the Walassa area of the Far North region, according to security sources. During the operation, several other militants reportedly fled with injuries.

A senior military official stated, “They (Boko Haram) tried to fight back when our troops attacked, but they were overcome. Several of them escaped with wounds. Our forces will continue to secure the region and protect civilians against the terrorists.”
