Senator Ali Ndume of Borno South confirmed on Thursday that over the past week, Boko Haram terrorists killed at least 11 farmers in border communities near the Mandara Mountains in Gwoza, Borno State. The terrorists also abducted approximately 15 residents and wounded numerous others in assaults on these communities over the past week.
On October 10, 2024, Senator Ali Ndume from Borno South reported new terrorist attacks during an interview with Channels TV. He detailed that terrorists had destroyed two military vehicles in an ambush near the Kirawa community along the Borno State border.
Senator Ndume expressed concern about the escalating violence in his statement: “There is a renewed attack by Boko Haram in our region. Unfortunately, Gwoza is one of the local governments that was most hit after the bomb blast some two months ago.
Just last week, Boko Haram ambushed farmers or attacked farmers while harvesting their crops killed eight of them in Ngoshe, and captured or kidnapped but five people up to now, and one person sustained injuries.”
