Nigerian music star Tekno has debunked circulating reports suggesting that he collapsed on stage during a recent performance in South Africa.
The viral video, which sparked concern among his fans, showed an individual being attended to by security personnel after reportedly slumping. However, Tekno took to Instagram on Tuesday to clarify that he was not the person in the video and assured fans of his well-being.
"Hey guys, I’m hale and hearty and not currently in South Africa. I hope whoever that was in the video is doing well and okay,"
Tekno shared in his post.
"Thank you guys. Love you."
Fans of the "Wayo" hitmaker expressed relief following his statement, after initially reacting with distress to the video. Many had flooded social media with messages of concern before Tekno's clarification.
