Speaking at a homecoming celebration organized by Esan Central residents at their local government council secretariat, he expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support that secured his victory. “I thank the Edo people for the resounding support and victory,” Okpebholo said, adding that those crying foul are the same individuals who fabricated results online. “Edo people have spoken; they chose peace, unity, and development, and that’s how it will remain.” The governor commended President Bola Tinubu and the APC leadership for standing by him during the election. He also assured the people of Esan land and the entire state that he would uphold justice and deliver on his promises.
