Peter Joseph Blackmore, the star rider for Israel Premier Tech, clinched victory in Tour du Rwanda 2024 with a triumphant ride to the Kigali Convention Centre during Sunday's final stage. The 21-year-old Briton, who seized the yellow jersey on Friday by winning Stage Six from Musanze to Mount Kigali, maintained his lead with a stellar performance.

Blackmore's success marks a notable achievement, succeeding Eritrean Henok Mulueberhane, the 2023 champion who was unable to defend his title due to a shoulder injury that forced him to withdraw from the competition.

The rider's journey to the Kigali Convention Centre was accompanied by jubilant celebrations, solidifying his Tour du Rwanda 2024 glory and establishing him as a rising talent in the cycling world.
