What the R399 Sports package includes
The R399 price applies to DStv Sports on streaming; the satellite price is R479. DStv says the plan includes every English Premier League, UEFA Champions League and South African Premiership match, all cricket, local and club rugby, one United Rugby Championship match of the week, combat sport, cycling and the entertainment already available on Select.

It is not the complete SuperSport catalogue. DStv's official launch summary says Premium remains the home of Springbok and other international rugby, Formula 1, MotoGP, major tennis and golf. Customers who mainly want football and cricket may find Sports sufficient; viewers who follow those Premium-only codes will still need the higher tier.

Movies, local channels and lower-cost plans
Select adds Mzansi Magic and full PSL coverage to Starter's lineup. Starter includes selected football through SuperSport Kickoff, including selected Premier League and PSL matches and La Liga coverage.
Movies & Series is a new R500 plan built around M-Net, kykNET, M-Net Movies and other entertainment channels. It still includes the content available on Select, but it does not replace Premium for viewers who want the widest sports rights.

MyBroadband reported on 14 September that MultiChoice confirmed its existing split-bill payment feature applies to the new packages.
