Graduate-category candidates can check from Monday, 31 August, through Wednesday, 2 September 2026. Candidates who applied with NCE, OND or SSCE qualifications have a separate checking period from Monday, 7 September, through Wednesday, 9 September.
PUNCH's report on the board statement says the recruitment covers four services: the Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps. Daily Post reported the same two checking windows and the board's move to the oral-interview stage.

Applicants in the later qualification categories should not assume that a status message during the graduate window is a final rejection. Their assigned access period has not begun.
What shortlisted candidates must do
The board says shortlisted candidates should choose the nearest available venue, select an interview date and time, and print their invitation letters. The letter carries the required dress code and should be read carefully before travel.
Only shortlisted candidates will be admitted to the final exercise. A portal result is therefore the authoritative next-step notice; an unverified list copied into a blog post, social-media graphic or messaging group is not a substitute.
Candidates should keep a secure copy of the invitation letter and prepare only the documents specified there. The public announcement does not authorise anyone to collect a fee, sell a slot or guarantee selection.

Scam warning and false messages
CDCFIB says it will not notify candidates by email and that legitimate communication should be obtained from the portal. The recruitment is free, and any demand for money should be rejected and reported to an appropriate security authority.
That warning is especially important because recruitment misinformation has circulated before. On 13 August, the Federal Ministry of Information formally rejected a fake CDCFIB statement claiming the exercise had been postponed until after the 2027 election. The ministry said the recruitment remained in progress.
The correct host is recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng. Similar-looking addresses, sponsored search results and pages that request payment should be treated with caution. High search interest does not change the official timetable: graduates check now, while NCE, OND and SSCE candidates wait until 7 September. A shortlist result advances a candidate to the oral interview; it is not a final employment offer.
