Zeo Trap Drops Second Album ‘Ntago anoga’ with 20 Tracks of Pure Drill
Zeo Trap releases his second album, Ntago anoga, featuring 20 Drill songs and plans a launch concert for fans before schools reopen.
Rapper Zeo Trap has released his second album, Ntago anoga, and announced that he plans to hold a concert to officially launch it for his fans before students return to school after the 2024 year-end holidays.
Zeo Trap had been teasing the release of this album on his social media for some time. The album was officially released on Saturday, November 23, 2024, after more than a year of work.
The rapper, who started his music career in 2021, released his first album, Abafana 100, in 2023. Since then, his popularity has grown significantly, and his performances have been widely praised.
Like his first album, Ntago anoga does not feature collaborations with other artists. However, Zeo worked with various producers for sound production and lyric videos.
The album includes 20 tracks: Street Goat, Username, Kiri gute, Kristu Yezu, Impane, This&That, Theraphy, Slang, Hard Work, Cana Night, Ntago anoga (the title track), Ibisimba, 4GB, Bob, Umwana wa trench, I Swear to God, Mugo, PTD, Zaza, and EP Twumvira Toyi.
In an interview with InyaRwanda, Zeo Trap expressed his pride in completing the album, calling it a fulfillment of a personal goal.
Zeo initially planned to include 12 songs on the album but decided to expand it to 20 due to fans’ high expectations. He explained that the album focuses on the Drill genre, aiming to highlight its uniqueness.
Zeo believes albums gain more value when the artist is no longer alive, which is why he chose to make all the songs solo. He referenced legendary artists like Kamaliza, who were known for their distinctive and self-created albums.
The rapper said the album consists of four parts:
Life on the streets, focusing on the struggles and experiences people overlook.
Messages to inspire perseverance and the pursuit of one’s dreams.
Love and the challenges young women face in today’s world.
A section rich in deep lyrics and refined Kinyarwanda language.
He emphasized,
“I wanted an album people would take time to listen to, not something casual.”
Zeo recently performed at an event organized by Skol Brewery and announced plans to release music videos for some songs and hold a launch concert soon.
