Multiple award-winning artist Adele has revealed plans to take a significant break from music following her concert residency in Munich. The announcement was made during an interview with German broadcaster ZDF.
Adele, who has been performing weekly at her Las Vegas residency, expressed that the continuous performances have left her feeling drained. "My tank is quite empty from being on stage every weekend in Las Vegas. I don’t have any plans for new music, at all," she stated.
The singer also hinted at exploring other creative ventures during her hiatus.
"I want a big break after this, and I think I want to do other creative things just for a little while,"
she added.
Adele's residency at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, which began in November 2022, is set to conclude in November 2024. Before taking her break, she will spend the summer in Munich, performing two concerts a week over five weeks.
For fans, this upcoming residency in Munich will be a final opportunity to see Adele perform live before she steps away from the music scene to recharge and pursue new creative endeavors.
