Renowned Nigerian music executive, Paulo Okoye, has named Burna Boy as the country's richest musician, revealing that the Grammy-winning artist amassed an astonishing $80 million in 2023 alone.
Okoye shared this information during a live Instagram session with popular podcaster Daddy Freeze. Highlighting Burna Boy's financial success, Okoye remarked,
"The only person making significant money in Nigeria is Burna Boy. He earned between $80 to $100 million four years ago. Burna Boy is undoubtedly the richest."
Okoye further emphasized Burna Boy’s business acumen, noting that the artist operates with a tight-knit team, primarily composed of family members.
"Burna Boy is on another level. His core team includes his mother, sister, and a few others, totaling fewer than eight people. The rest are either contractors or consultants,"
he added.
