A young man caused a scene at Museveni’s rally in Kawempe but was quickly stopped by security. Museveni remained calm and continued his campaign.

During a campaign rally in Kawempe, a young man caused a disturbance when he tried to run towards President Yoweri Museveni. The president was sitting inside a tent with a red carpet when the incident happened. Security officers reacted quickly and stopped the man before he could reach Museveni.

The event took place at the Mbogo Mosque grounds, where Museveni was supporting Faridah Nambi, a National Resistance Movement (NRM) candidate running for the Kawempe North parliamentary seat. While Museveni was addressing his supporters, the young man suddenly appeared from the crowd.

He was dressed in a black T-shirt with an image of General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who is Museveni’s son. Without hesitating, he rushed towards the president.

Before the man could get close, plainclothes security officers acted swiftly and caught him. He attempted to struggle, but they quickly overpowered him and dragged him away from where Museveni was seated. The people at the rally were shocked as they watched the unexpected scene unfold.

Despite the incident, Museveni remained calm and did not react. He did not mention the event or express any concern. Instead, he carried on with his campaign schedule as planned. Unlike what many might have expected, the president did not seem worried or disturbed by what had happened.
