Manchester United interim manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy praised three players after their 5-2 win over Leicester City in the Carabao Cup fourth round on Wednesday night. Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes each scored twice, while Alejandro Garnacho also added to the scoreline.


Speaking to Sky Sports, Van Nistelrooy said,

“We had some luck as well. I’m very happy for Casemiro, Garnacho, and Bruno. Five goals, but we’ve been creating so many chances in recent games against West Ham and Fenerbahce and just couldn’t finish.”

Manchester United will now face Tottenham Hotspur in the quarter-final of the competition.
