UNEB dismisses rumors of UCE results release on Feb 7, confirming no official date yet. Results may come next week after a scheduled briefing.

There have been claims that the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results will be released on Friday, February 7th. However, the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has not officially confirmed this, according to The Ankole Times. Reports suggesting that the results will be out on Friday seem to be unverified.

Meanwhile, The Ankole Times discovered that a recent State House meeting was centered on the “Education Policy Review Report.”

The report was presented to the Minister by the Education Policy Review Commission Chairperson, Hon. Col. (Rtd.) Nuwe Amanya Mushega, along with State Ministers Hon. Monica Kaducu (Primary Education) and John Chrysestom Muyingo (Higher Education).

The report covers several aspects, including public hearing findings, stakeholder input, results from nationwide consultations, benchmarking studies, education performance analysis, and a detailed review of Uganda’s education, training, and sports system.

According to sources at The Ankole Times newsroom, the UCE results for 2024 are expected to be released soon. A likely date is next Thursday, following a briefing scheduled for Tuesday next week.

These will be the second set of national exam results to be released this year, after last month's announcement of the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) results.
