AC Milan legend Clarence Seedorf has highlighted a critical ‘missing link’ preventing Arsenal from achieving greater success under manager Mikel Arteta. Seedorf's comments came after Arsenal's 2-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in their recent UEFA Champions League clash.

In the match, Arsenal secured a comfortable win with first-half goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka. Despite the result, Seedorf believes the Gunners still need to address key areas to push beyond their current level under Arteta.

Speaking on Amazon Prime, the former Real Madrid midfielder remarked,

"What’s that missing link to take that next step? Belief is one thing, but saying it is one thing and doing it is another."

Seedorf noted that Arsenal’s approach in the second half, where they retreated too early, could prove costly in future Champions League matches against tougher opposition.

"PSG weren’t at their best today, but against stronger teams, you can suffer, and they might capitalize on those opportunities,"

he warned.

He further emphasized that while the hunger for success is evident in the team, they need to overcome the psychological barrier of winning.

“Arsenal want it. You can see they have it in their belly. But two years ago, they were so close, and it didn’t happen. There’s something they need to tweak to overcome that fear of winning,"

Seedorf added.

Nevertheless, Seedorf expressed confidence in Arteta’s leadership, saying,

"I think they have the right coach, and I’m sure they’ve learned from their past experiences."
