Rwanda's capital, Kigali, will host the FIA Annual General Assembly and Prize-Giving Ceremony this December. This is a significant milestone for the country and showcases its growing presence in the global motorsport community.

Formula 1 superstar Lewis Hamilton, who has previously shown interest in racing in Africa, has also voiced his support for a Grand Prix in Rwanda. Speaking about the idea, Hamilton said,

"I’ve been talking about Africa and we’ve got Rwanda potentially on the map, which is great, so I hope it comes in time, before I’m gone. That’s my biggest dream, to make sure I can race there before I retire."

This reflects Hamilton's passion for bringing the sport to new locations and his desire to leave a lasting impact on Formula 1.
