Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti blamed their 4-0 El Clasico loss to Barcelona on missed chances and a drop in energy after Barcelona's first goal.

Madrid dominated the game’s early stages on Saturday but couldn’t find the back of the net. Robert Lewandowski then scored twice within 10 minutes in the second half, with Lamine Yamal and Raphinha adding to Barcelona’s tally, putting them six points clear at the top of LaLiga.

Ancelotti said,

“We missed many chances and lost our energy after they scored. We’re hurt, yes… these are difficult moments. But we won’t give up; the season is long.”

He added,

“I liked the team in the first half. We’re sad, but I have to thank the fans because they supported us for 90 minutes. We don’t need to throw everything away. For 60 minutes, we competed well, but those last 30 minutes we’d rather forget.”
