Rayon Sports FC, a well-known football club in Rwanda, is keen to sign Zambian striker Enock Sakala Junior to strengthen their attack. At just 22 years old, Sakala has already shown great skill and potential, making him a top choice for teams looking to improve their offense.

Career Achievements

Sakala started his football journey with ZESCO United, one of Zambia's top teams. Under coach Mumamba Numba, he made his debut in the 2020/2021 FAZ Super League season. That year, Sakala contributed seven goals, helping ZESCO United win their ninth league title.

In the 2023/2024 season, he netted 12 goals and was the second-highest scorer in the MTN Super League, helping ZESCO qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup. His impressive form caught international attention, and in July 2024, he joined Egypt’s Modern Future FC, signing a deal until June 2028.

Why Rayon Sports Wants Sakala

Currently leading the Rwanda Premier League, Rayon Sports is looking to stay ahead by signing Sakala. At 1.86 meters tall, his height and goal-scoring skills would add much-needed power to the team’s forward lineup. Sakala’s experience in both domestic leagues and continental competitions, including the CAF Champions League, makes him a strong candidate to boost the team’s performance.

Challenges in the Deal

Although Sakala is a promising addition, his current contract with Modern Future FC until 2028 poses a hurdle. Rayon Sports would need to negotiate a transfer fee. Moreover, transitioning to a new league and country could take time, requiring both the player and club to adapt quickly.

Rayon Sports’ interest in Sakala shows their ambition to improve with proven talent. If successful, this transfer could significantly benefit both the player and the club, leading to greater achievements in domestic and regional competitions.
