Famous Ugandan photographer Saad Byakuleka
Famous Ugandan photographer Saad Byakuleka, who many knew as Saad Shots, has been laid to rest at his family’s home in Kitongore Village, Kazo District, close to Kaguta Road Junction.
Saad passed away in a tragic motorbike accident on April 18, 2025, along Entebbe Road. The news shocked many of his fans, friends, and fellow bikers. He was only 33.
His body was taken from Mulago mortuary and transported by Rhino Funeral Services to Kazo, where he was buried on Saturday. Before the burial, a vigil was held on Friday night at his home in Seguku. Family, friends, fellow photographers, and celebrities came together to remember him.
Saad was well-known for his amazing work in photography, especially in events, sports, wildlife, and tourism. He was admired for how he captured beautiful moments through his lens. His creative eye earned him respect across Uganda’s photography and tourism industries.

Besides his camera, Saad had a strong love for motorcycles. He often posted photos and videos of his rides on social media. Sadly, his last Snapchat video showed his motorbike with the words: “Missed you babe” — a message that now feels like a final goodbye to the thing he loved most.
The biking community, his clients, and many public figures shared messages of sorrow after hearing about his passing.
“Dear Saad, Tag Racing Group will forever miss you. You always brought vibe to the group. We live by the bike, and it is painful but not surprising that you have been taken by what you loved most,” said Brian The Mixologist on X.
“I still can’t believe he’s gone. Rest in power, brother. You left too soon,” added Dr. Kizza Blair.
Saad Shots will be remembered not only for his creativity.
