Victor Osimhen has stated that he is not focused on winning the top scorer award in the Turkish Super Lig. Since joining Galatasaray on loan in January, Osimhen has netted two goals in three league appearances.

There were initial concerns about how he would fit in at the club, with Mauro Icardi already established as the team’s main striker. However, the two players have formed a good relationship on and off the pitch.

Osimhen emphasized that the team’s success is more important than individual accolades. “He’s a big legend here. We’ve shown how well we can work together on the pitch. But for me, I don’t care about being the best scorer in the league,” the 25-year-old told the Turkish media.

“I want to score, assist, and help the team when I can, both in attack and defence, as the coach requires. But collective success is what matters most.”
