Nigeria's Super Eagles were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by Rwanda in their 2025 AFCON qualifying match at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali, on September 10, 2024. Despite Nigeria fielding several top professional players, including Samuel Chukwueze and Ola Aina, the team struggled to break through Rwanda's disciplined defense, resulting in a stalemate.

The Super Eagles, who dominated possession, were unable to capitalize on key opportunities throughout the match. Rwanda, ranked significantly lower than Nigeria in FIFA rankings, held firm and frustrated Nigeria’s attack with well-organized defensive plays. Notable Nigerian strikers, such as Victor Boniface, failed to find the net, despite continuous pressure on Rwanda's backline.

Nigeria’s head coach, Augustine Eguavoen, expressed disappointment post-match, acknowledging that his side needed to convert their chances better. This result puts added pressure on the Super Eagles as they prepare for their next qualifier.

This outcome leaves Nigeria with four points from two games in Group D of the AFCON qualifiers, but they remain at the top of the group.
