Ademola Lookman delivered an impressive performance, registering a goal and an assist as Atalanta cruised to a 3-0 win against Shakhtar Donetsk in their UEFA Champions League group stage match at the VELTINS-Arena on Wednesday night.

Lookman set up Switzerland international Berat Djimsiti for the opening goal in the 21st minute, giving Atalanta an early lead. Just before halftime, the 26-year-old forward found the net himself, scoring Atalanta's second goal with an assist from Saed Kolasinac in the 44th minute.

Raoul Bellanova added a third for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side shortly after the break, finding the back of the net in the 48th minute.

Lookman was substituted in the 60th minute, making way for Matteo Retegui as Atalanta closed out the game comfortably.

The Italian club will now turn their attention to their next Champions League fixture, where they will host Scottish champions Celtic.
