Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has revealed the advice he once received from legendary Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, which has influenced his career.

Speaking on Liverpool’s YouTube channel, Salah shared that he met Wenger during a visit to Liverpool’s Melwood training ground. Curious about improving his game, Salah asked Wenger what distinguishes a good player from a great one.

Wenger told him,

“A very, very good player is always focused on the game. Even if he doesn’t have momentum, he stays in the game until the final whistle.”

Reflecting on the advice, Salah said,

“There are games where I don’t have momentum, but I’m always focused to finish stuff.”

Salah has credited this guidance as instrumental in shaping his approach on the pitch.
