Elon Musk, the wealthiest man in the world and owner of X, reposted a viral message from Ugandan TikTok influencer and activist Janice Nkajja about USAID funding.

Nkajja, who supports Trump’s decision to freeze foreign aid, shared her views with Fox News, saying, “Foreign aid often fuels corruption. It’s time for Africa to reflect, reform, and rise.”

She also urged Africans to stop complaining when the U.S. withdraws funding from certain projects. “We have been receiving these funds for a long time and yet nothing seems to be changing. In fact, the money goes to our corrupt politicians who tend to take advantage of us,” she said.

Her comments sparked discussions among Ugandans on social media, with many agreeing that a large portion of the aid given to Africa often ends up in the hands of corrupt government officials.

At the same time, former Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has also encouraged African leaders to stop complaining about Trump’s funding cuts and instead use this as an opportunity to rethink their approach and take action.
