Friday, May 2, 2025

A disturbing incident happened at Lubowa Police Station when soldiers from the Special Forces Command (SFC) attacked police officers, leaving nine of them seriously injured.
The trouble started when SFC soldiers brought over eight robbery suspects to the station. The suspects, accused of stealing from Lubowa Estate, were in terrible shape bleeding, bruised, and barely conscious. Police officers were shocked and questioned why the suspects were so badly beaten.
One officer asked, “How can we keep suspects who are almost unconscious and need urgent medical help?”
The Officer in Charge, ASP Sunday, was called. After seeing the suspects, he told the soldiers to take them to the hospital first. But instead of listening, the SFC soldiers called their commander, Lt. Amoo Samson. Soon after, more soldiers showed up at the station.
Without warning, the soldiers started beating the police officers. They used batons and electric wires to assault both male and female officers. Even ASP Sunday was badly beaten.
The violence lasted several minutes. In the end, nine police officers were injured some with broken bones and serious wounds. The suspects also vanished during the chaos.
The injured officers were taken to Dr. Doctors Clinic in Seguku. Some are still in critical condition and receiving treatment.
