Enyimba midfielder Clinton Jephta addresses the press ahead of their crucial CAF Confederation Cup match against Zamalek.
Clinton Jephta, a midfielder for Enyimba, has confidently stated that his team, also known as the People’s Elephant, will beat defending champions Zamalek in their CAF Confederation Cup match.
Enyimba, coached by Yemi Olanrewaju, is set to face the North African team today in a Group D match at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
The Nigerian team had a disappointing start to the group stage, losing to Al Masry, another Egyptian club. However, Jephta remains optimistic about their performance against Zamalek.
“Our morale is very high, and we are ready for today’s game,”
Jephta said during a press conference.
“I can guarantee our fans that we will win. We have the quality and have worked extremely hard to achieve our goals. Our ambition is to go far in this competition, with the semi-final as our minimum target.”
