Football clubs Simba SC and Young Africans (Yanga SC) of Tanzania have come up against the tough draw for the 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup and Champions Cup draws held on October 7, 2024, Cairo, Egypt. The draws promise fun fights for both clubs.

Simba SC belongs to Group A in the CAF Confederation Cup and will take on tough teams such as CS Sfaxien (Tunisia), CS Constantine (Algeria), and Bravos do Maquis (Angola). Among the three rivals, CS Sfaxien, the winner of the previous Confideration Cup, will be a nightmare for Simba SC. While CS Constantine is more productive in its defenses, Bravos do Maquis, a surprise lower appreciated Angolan rival, can also cause trouble.

The group for the Yanga SC soccer championship stage is Group A and was drawn together with other top African clubs TP Mazembe (DR Congo), Al Hilal (Sudan), and MC Alger (Algeria). Yanga has a very desperate situation as it will be group in favour of TP Mazembes’ rich history as a badminton continental superpower. As well do Al Hilal and Mc Alger are effective enemies.

The periods for group stage matches for both Tanzanian teams will take place between November 26-28, 2024, while they will end way in the middle of January 2025. Such competitions are pegged as avenues through which both clubs can push Tanzanian soccer to the continental level.
