Barcelona manager Hansi Flick attributed his team’s 4-0 El Clasico victory over Real Madrid to disciplined defending and a strong overall performance.


Flick commended his players for adhering to the game plan and giving their best effort, highlighting the team’s defensive efforts and commitment as crucial to the win. This marked Flick’s first El Clasico win since taking over from Xavi.


Robert Lewandowski scored twice, with Lamine Yamal and Raphinha adding goals to secure three points for Barcelona at Santiago.


“Everyone followed the plan and gave 100%,”

Flick said in his post-match interview.

“We defended well and stuck to our ideas, even though Madrid limited our space. In the second half, we had better control of the ball, and the whole team did an extraordinary job.”
