Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior saddened by Valencia floods, not Ballon d'Or loss, reveals manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has clarified that Vinicius Junior's recent sadness is not due to missing out on the 2024 Ballon d’Or but rather because of the devastating floods in Valencia, Spain. Speaking to the media on Monday, Ancelotti explained that the Brazilian forward is affected by the tragedy, which also led to the cancellation of Real Madrid's La Liga match against Valencia last week.


“Vinicius Jr is sad but not because of the Ballon d’Or,”

Ancelotti said.

“He is sad because of what’s happening in Valencia.”

Vinicius finished second in the Ballon d'Or voting, losing to Manchester City’s Rodri, while Real Madrid teammate Jude Bellingham placed third.
