APR FC defeated AS Kigali 1-0 in a highly anticipated match on Matchday 11 of the league, ending a six-year winless streak against the team.
This match attracted attention as AS Kigali offered a bonus of 150,000 Rwandan Francs to their players. Meanwhile, APR FC aimed to erase their poor record against AS Kigali.
The game began slowly, with both teams being cautious and creating few scoring opportunities. After 20 minutes, APR FC started attacking, with Mamadou Sy and Niyibizi Ramadhan missing chances. At 35 minutes, AS Kigali responded but failed to capitalize on their opportunities, with Emmanuel Okwi missing a crucial chance.

The game ended 1-0 in favor of APR FC, marking their first victory against AS Kigali since 2018.
APR FC moved to fifth place with 17 points and two games in hand, while AS Kigali remains second with 20 points. Notably, APR FC has not conceded any goals in the eight league matches played so far.
