Super Eagles assistant coach Daniel Ogunmodede emphasizes the team's determination to secure victories in their AFCON 2025 qualifying matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda, treating each game as a "Cup final" in their journey to Morocco.

Nigeria's Super Eagles are set to approach their upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda with full intensity, treating each as a "Cup final," according to assistant coach Daniel Ogunmodede. Despite needing just one point from their next two games to secure a place in Morocco 2025, Ogunmodede emphasized the team's commitment to winning both fixtures.

Ogunmodede, also the head coach of Nigeria Premier Football League side Remo Stars, highlighted their goal during an interview on NFF TV:

"Every match we want to approach like a Cup final, aiming for a win regardless of the points we need."

The Super Eagles, who currently lead Group D with 10 points from four games, will face the Cheetahs of Benin Republic away in their fifth qualifying match on Thursday. They will conclude their campaign with a home fixture against Rwanda’s Amavubi on Monday, November 14.

With the head coach prioritizing qualification and a full three points in every match, the Super Eagles are focused on maintaining momentum as they strive for success in the upcoming AFCON tournament.
