Ugandan General Muhoozi Kainerugaba
Ugandan General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has stirred fresh controversy online after posting a bold tweet claiming that every district in Kenya owes him “2 women and 100 cows.”
The message, posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, quickly went viral—drawing a mix of laughter, anger, and confusion from both Kenyans and Ugandans.
While some social media users joked about the tweet, others condemned it as disrespectful, especially toward Kenyan women.
One user, Gedeon Baleke, sarcastically replied “Acha pombe,”—a Swahili phrase meaning “Stop drinking,” suggesting the general might have tweeted under the influence. Another, Sam Ruzindaza, questioned the motivation behind Muhoozi’s message.
Ugandan politician Hon. Dr. Balaam Barugahara backed Muhoozi, even taking it further by claiming Kenya not only owed women and cattle, but also the entire Rift Valley region.
Still, some praised Muhoozi’s perceived boldness. One user tweeted, “Kenyan women love strong men like you.”
Muhoozi, the son of long-serving Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, is no stranger to controversy. In the past, he boasted about capturing Nairobi in just two weeks—a statement that caused a diplomatic stir.
His latest tweet has once again sparked debate about his political ambitions, his view of Kenya, and the future of Uganda-Kenya relations.
