Rwanda’s national team prepares for a crucial World Cup qualifying showdown.
Rwanda’s head coach, Adel Amrouche, has announced a 28-man provisional squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria and Lesotho.
The squad features top players such as Kaizer Chiefs’ goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari, Sabail FK forward Innocent Nhsuti, and midfielder Bizimana Djihad from Libyan club Al Ahli Tripoli. Other key names include Mugisha Bonheur, Jojea Kwizera, Steve Rubanguka, and Hakim Sahabo.
Amrouche will reduce the squad to 23 players before the crucial matches. The Amavubi team will gather in Kigali on Sunday to begin preparations.
Rwanda will face Nigeria’s Super Eagles at Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on Friday, March 21. Four days later, they will take on Lesotho’s Crocodiles at the same venue, aiming to strengthen their World Cup qualification hopes.
