Bayer Leverkusen's Managing Director, Simon Rolfes, has confirmed that Victor Boniface will not move to Saudi club Al Nassr.

Boniface was close to signing a big-money deal with Al Nassr after the Saudi club reached an agreement with Leverkusen. He had also agreed on personal terms with Stefano Pioli’s team.

However, Al Nassr decided to cancel the deal and signed Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran instead.

Rolfes expressed his happiness that Boniface will remain with Leverkusen.

“There have been talks, but we are happy that he will be training with us today. I assume that he will stay,”

Rolfes said.

“He feels comfortable here, his attitude towards the club is unchanged.”
