Former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger believes the club has just a 20% chance of winning the Premier League title this season.

Wenger shared his opinion after Liverpool secured a 2-0 win against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

A day before, Arsenal suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat at home to West Ham, which left them eight points behind league leaders Liverpool.

Following Liverpool’s victory over City, that gap increased to 11 points.

Speaking to beIN SPORTS, Wenger said:

“Maybe I’m being generous. But with 11 games to go, 11 points ahead and one more game played, of course, you would be surprised.
“If Liverpool win today, they’ve lost only one game since the start of the season, and you wouldn’t think they would lose four in the last 11.”

Next, Liverpool will face Newcastle United at home, while Arsenal will travel to Nottingham Forest.
