France football legend Thierry Henry has named Barcelona as one of the favorites to win this season's UEFA Champions League. Speaking to CBS Sports, the former Arsenal and Barcelona player praised the Catalan club for their exceptional performances under new manager Hansi Flick.

Henry highlighted that Barcelona’s past setbacks in the competition could play a crucial role in their success this year. The team, after losing their opening match to AS Monaco, made a remarkable comeback with dominant victories over Young Boys (5-0 at home), Bayern Munich (4-1 at home), and Crvena zvezda (5-2 away).

“I think this team right now has to be considered as one of the favorites to win it,”

Henry said.

“Sometimes, you need to lose a semi-final or quarter-final to understand how hard it is, but I do think they are equipped to go all the way.”

Barcelona, under Flick’s guidance, has shown significant improvement this season. Henry, who won his only Champions League title with Barcelona during the 2008-09 season, believes the team has what it takes to secure the trophy once again.
