Finally, the long-awaited match between Rayon Sports and APR FC has been scheduled. This game, part of Rwanda’s Premier League Matchday 3, will happen on December 7, 2024. Originally, the match was supposed to take place on September 14, 2024, at Stade Amahoro, but it was postponed because APR FC was playing in the CAF Champions League.
The Rwanda Premier League initially suggested October 19, 2024, as the new date, but APR FC requested a delay to complete their outstanding Matchday 1 and 2 games first. According to IGIHE, December 7 is now confirmed as the final date for the match since there are no more conflicts. Both teams can now begin their preparations.
The league organizers have also asked the Ministry of Sports if Stade Amahoro will be available on that day to host the game. Additionally, the Rwanda Premier League is expected to release an updated calendar. It will show that the Matchday 12 game between APR FC and Police FC will be rescheduled. This adjustment is necessary because the Amavubi team will be preparing for their CHAN 2024 qualifier against South Sudan at that time.
