SSC Napoli has reportedly reduced the €130 million release clause for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, as the club seeks to finalize his transfer before the close of the summer transfer window. According to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Chelsea have been informed of the updated terms, with PSG seen as Osimhen's preferred destination.

While PSG has yet to make a formal move for the prolific striker, Hawkins reports that Osimhen is less interested in joining Chelsea. Meanwhile, the forward is also engaged in discussions with Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli, although no agreement has been reached on salary terms.

Despite the ongoing negotiations, Osimhen’s agent has hinted that his client remains focused on continuing his career in Europe. In a recent statement on X (formerly Twitter), the agent suggested that the striker

"still has much to do in Europe."

With the European transfer window set to close on August 30, the clock is ticking for Osimhen to secure a move to a new club.
