The organization announced on May 11, 2026, that it had filed two complaints with civil-party status before Belgian courts. According to the group, the complaints target alleged public statements viewed as support for armed groups active in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo , particularly those linked to AFC/M23 . ADVERTISEMENT The plaintiffs cited possible legal grounds including incitement to war crimes and crimes against humanity, glorification of terrorism, incitement to tribal hatred, defamation, slander and insults. The accusations remain allegations at this stage, and official Belgian court details have not been independently confirmed. The case comes as eastern DRC remains under severe pressure from armed groups. Recent reporting described continued instability involving M23, while Al Jazeera reported renewed efforts to ease aid deliveries and support mediation.
