Renowned Nollywood actor Tolani Oyebamiji, affectionately known as Sisi Quadri, was laid to rest in his hometown, Agbowo area of Iwo, following his passing on Friday, March 1. Sisi Quadri succumbed to a brief illness at the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital in Ogbomoso, leaving a void in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

Marufudeen Lawal, the Chairman of the Odun chapter of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), expressed the profound loss felt by the actor's colleagues and fans. Lawal highlighted Quadri's significant contributions to Nollywood and his unforgettable performances that endeared him to many.

The burial ceremony took place promptly after the actor's body was transported from Ogbomoso, with prayers held at an open field near his residence. Lawal remarked on the unexpected nature of Quadri's death, noting the industry's readiness to support him had they been aware of his illness.

In light of the tragedy, TAMPAN is advocating for enhanced health insurance coverage for its members, urging Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, to facilitate the enrollment of actors in the state's Health Insurance Schemes. This initiative aims to provide better healthcare support for the entertainment community in Osun and beyond.

The industry mourns the loss of Sisi Quadri, remembering him not only for his artistic talents but also for the joy he brought to screens across Nigeria. Plans are underway to honor his legacy and ensure the well-being of his fellow artists through improved health initiatives.
