Afrobeats sensation Tems was more than just a participant at this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Performing on Sunday, April 15, 2024, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, the star elevated her set by bringing out fellow artists Wizkid and Justin Bieber during her rendition of the hit song “Essence,” which features both artists.

Earlier in the day, Tems had heightened anticipation for her performance, teasing fans with a special surprise.

"Coachella! I’m too exciteddd I have a surprise tonight,”

she posted on X (formerly Twitter).

The audience was thrilled when Wizkid first appeared on stage, donning a striking oversized bomber varsity jacket with leather sleeves. Justin Bieber followed, dressed in oversized cargo shorts and a black hoodie.

After the joint performance, an exhilarated Tems exclaimed, "Oh my God, this is crazy” and paid tribute to her collaborators.

“Give it up for Justin and the legend,”

she said, embracing Wizkid.

Following her performance, Tems hinted at her return to the festival, expressing her gratitude to the audience.

"Thank you Coachella, till next weekend,"

she shared on X. This year's Coachella festival spans two weekends, from April 12-14 and April 19-21. For those who missed it, the full performance can be watched below.
