South Africa is set to host Austria’s President Alexander Van Der Bellen on Friday, 4 July 2025, in Pretoria.


President Cyril Ramaphosa will welcome President Van Der Bellen at the Union Buildings for a State Visit aimed at strengthening ties between South Africa and Austria. This visit will deepen cooperation in arts and culture, higher education, renewable energy, trade, investment, and waste management.


Despite being far apart geographically and differing in size and economy, the two nations share common ground in multilateralism, trade, and sustainable development.


Business Forum Highlight

On the same day, both presidents will address the South Africa-Austria Business Forum. This session will bring together business leaders to explore new opportunities in various sectors.
