Liverpool’s star forward, Mohamed Salah, is back in action after recovering from a hamstring injury sustained while playing for Egypt during the Africa Cup of Nations in January. The 31-year-old has been sidelined due to muscle fatigue since his substitute appearance and goal against Brentford on February 17.
Manager Jürgen Klopp expressed relief at Salah’s return, emphasizing the importance of having him back in the squad. Despite the challenging season, Salah has been prolific, scoring 19 goals for Liverpool, including 15 in 21 Premier League games.
Salah’s comeback coincides with crucial fixtures for Liverpool. First, they face a trip to the Czech Republic, followed by a top-flight clash against second-placed Manchester City. The Reds also have the second leg against Sparta Prague and an FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester United on the horizon.
Klopp acknowledged the need for caution, given the intense period of the season. However, Salah’s availability is undoubtedly good news for the team. As for concerns about international duty, Klopp deferred decisions to other departments, emphasizing that player management remains a priority.
