Kenya’s military forces have dealt a significant blow to the Al Shabaab militant group in the coastal county of Lamu.

During a targeted operation, six Al Shabaab members, including a foreign fighter, were neutralized, and substantial logistical supplies were confiscated.

The raid was prompted by intelligence reports indicating an imminent attack by the group in the area. Although some terrorists managed to escape, the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) urged the public to remain vigilant.

The KDF’s efforts aim to disrupt terrorist activities and enhance security in the region, which has been plagued by devastating militant attacks.
