Mogotio MP Reuben Kiborek has strongly defended his support for President William Ruto’s re-election bid, asking Kenyans to give the Kenya Kwanza government more time to fulfill its promises.
Speaking during a TV interview on Thursday, January 16, 2025, Kiborek said the administration is working hard and will show great progress if given another year or two. He assured that this progress would make people happy and confident in the government.
“Kenyans have not been patient enough with this government. If given more time, people will celebrate its achievements, and in 2027, Ruto will win again,” he said.
The MP also claimed that in Kenya’s history, every president has served more than one term, regardless of early doubts.
He mentioned examples such as President Moi, who led for 24 years, Kibaki and Uhuru, who each served 10 years, and Kenyatta, whose leadership extended to 15 years.
“No president has ever served just one term and left after three years. Why should Ruto be any different?” he asked.
Kiborek remains confident that Ruto will secure a landslide victory in the 2027 elections, as long as the government continues working toward its goals.
