Kenya's Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary, Dr. Korir Sing'oei, has expressed deep concern over attacks on embassy premises and personnel in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
In a recent statement, he highlighted that the Kenyan, Ugandan, and South African embassies have been targeted by protesters expressing discontent over the conflict in Eastern DRC. Dr. Sing'oei emphasized that these attacks constitute a serious breach of international law and condemned them in the strongest terms.

He affirmed Kenya's solidarity with the DRC during this challenging time and committed to utilizing all diplomatic means to collaborate with regional partners in the pursuit of peace. Additionally, he advised Kenyans residing in the DRC to exercise caution.
These developments coincide with reports of intensified conflict in Eastern DRC, particularly in Goma, where M23 rebels, allegedly backed by Rwanda, have claimed control despite calls from the United Nations Security Council for a cessation of hostilities.
The situation underscores the volatile security environment in the region and the potential risks to diplomatic missions operating there.
