Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua accuses Ruto of writing speeches for MPS

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has claimed that President William Ruto secretly writes speeches for MPs in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

Speaking during a church service at PCEA Emmanuel Matanya in Laikipia East on Sunday, Gachagua revealed that Ruto controls political messaging behind the scenes.

He stated that when he was deputy president, Ruto personally wrote controversial remarks for him, including the "shareholding government" statement, which later received criticism.

Gachagua also referred to recent remarks by Webuye West MP Dan Wanyama, who suggested that the Mount Kenya region could be isolated in the 2027 elections. According to Gachagua, this is part of a broader strategy led by Ruto to create divisions within the region. He warned that Mount Kenya has significant voter strength and should remain united as the 2027 elections approach.
